Trackmania Review

There are hundreds on racing games out there, most with a online game play and wonderful graphics but most of these come with a price, on the other hand there are some free games but there are not match for the paid ones.

For some years there has been a game called Trackmania which is a fantastic racer boasting many different features and game types. The game is split into two, Nations and United, one is free and the other one you have to pay for.

Firstly I will start with Nations, which is the free one. TM Nations has a fantastic online community and great online servers where you race to gain points and ladder up the table as with United, it also has a fantastic campaign where to race the computer for medals and you can gain points in that as well. Also you get a track creator so you can create your own fantasy track and post it to the online community which is all fantastic but it lacks one thing, cars. Nations only has one car type and it doesn't give proper cars like Ferrari and Lamborghini it has one made up on named "Stadium car" as you are racing in a stadium. Although you can customise this car but when you play online it is not shown, only shown to yourself.

So after a few months the free version of Trackmania, i decided to upgrade. I bought the £20 version which is Forever. It is bassically the same but you can some cool new tracks and cars. Firstly, you have 6 more types of area and car which can be raced online and in solo mode and you can show off you car you have created to all of your friends. There is a built in web browser so you can search through the internet while in the menu. Its fantastic.

Other things which are in the game are coppers which are mostly for servers, you get coppers for competing in racers and you can also earn coppers when you create tracks which are put onto servers.

Overall the Trackmania games are awesome and I recommend to all of you.

iPod Touch Application Reviews

Bounce On

Bounce on is an application similar to Rolando which uses the accelerometer to control your character. The aim of the game is to get your ball to the other end. You collect stars on the way and you can also collect lives as you have 3 lives to start off with. There are many obstacles from the weird to the ordinary such as big balls with builder hats to springs and the odd worm. You can defeat these enemies by jumping on them with a touch of your finger. In the game you can collect power ups to help you get to the end of the game from high jumping ones to big boulders which smash your enemies. The game is available on the app store as a lite version and a paid version, I highly recommend you get the lite version to try out.

Drum Kit
This music application is a great way to show off to your friends, you don't have to have any no how about drums or any sort of rhythm because can you just make a massive amount of noise. I love this app because when I'm bored and I need something I turn to this, make some beats and you can even record your own tracks. I can also drum to the different songs i have on my iPod, its fantastic. Drum Kit also features many different types of drum kit from the classic type to the more techno use with also many different in-app purchases you can buy. The application also has new layout you can buy from you iDevice.

App Sniper
Another great utility from the Apple App Store. This is a fantastic simply because the aim of this is to save you money. I frequently look through the app store looking for bargains or just want to see some new application to try out. App Sniper is great way to look through the store to see many new apps as soon as they are released. It boasts many features that help you save money. One of the features is called "Snipe" and when you snipe an app it follows any change in price and notifies when there is a change, so if you want to buy a certain for less than a £1, when that app goes less than a pound App Sniper tells you, there will be a link to the app store and you can buy it. Other features such as "New Apps", "Hot Apps", "Snipes", "Search" and "Watch" make this application fantastic and at 59p its a bargain.

iPod Touch Application Reviews

Memory Status

Memory Status is a fantastic application that lets you recover or check how much RAM your iPod or iPhone has which is a fantastic utility for when playing games. You can easily find out what problem it is your having. Also it gives out information that helps what applications are using. There is also a section where you can see what processes are running. Overall a very good app.

Palringo

This application is fantastic. It is a social IM application which brings together all our favourite IM messengers to one applications. Palringo boasts many features such as its easy to change status which can also be different for all your accounts and also soon to have push notifications which has been a well requested feature since 3.0 software came out. It is elegant and easy to use which makes Palringo a great application.

My Battery

The My Battery Application is another utility which has a simple idea. All the time I want to know how much juice I have exactly and this application does that for free. It has a easy to use GUI as shown and it compatible with both iPhone and iPod touches as they both differ in battery strength. I use this all time and gives very realistic time but not always exact.

Gigapascal Custom iPod Touch

Just this morning I received my Custom iPod Touch from Knights Creations. I will post a picture of my lovely iPod and all credit goes to the company.

If you want to get yours like this, it will set you back £70 and weeks without your iPod as the company is from the USA.

Knight Creations Custom iPod Touch is an elegant counterpoint to the original design. The housing is fabricated from a single piece of 304 stainless steel, then finished in our famous Titanium Aluminum Nitride. The Custom iPod Touch is being offered as a special edition product, once sold out it will be gone forever.

Titanium Aluminum Nitride

TiAlN

Physically TiAlN is an ultra-hard engineered ceramic with an applied vickers hardness of 29 Gigapascal. The surface is both extremely durable and medically sterile, meeting class 3 biocompatibility standards. This results in a device that is extrodinarily scratch resistant and easy to keep clean.

Visually the Custom iPod Touch exudes a deep metallic black radiance. The dark hue of the TiAlN unifies the screen, buttons and antenna, giving the device a bold sense of meaning and presence.

iTunes 9, Is it Real?

More leaked information shows that Apple could be working on iTunes 9 which is been rumoured to have a number of features that could be integrated into the music buying software.

iTunes could be boasting features that include Blu-Ray Support, Twitter, Last.Fm and even some more features to help manage the iPod touch and iPhone.

There have been a few screenshots which have gone under a lot of investigation to check whether these images are the real deal.

One website. Pocket-lint, suggest that they are fake and they give some interesting points view with very good points to remember that suggest that these screensh
ots are fake but we will let you find out.

iPod Touch 3G September 7?

That's right, there has been a leak that the Apple iPod touch 3rd Generation has a camera. This is more evidence that the Hardware giant has been working hard on a secretive device. Engagdet leaked the information out showing many more pictures and even video supporting the claim.

Other sources tell me that Apple will be hosting a Keynote in September showing off the new products that will be coming out shortly which include the Apple Tablet, iPod Touch and possibly iTunes 9 and the Nano. I have more information about the rumoured iTunes 9 shortly.

Windows 7 Prices Revealed

If you’re thinking of bagging yourself a box copy of Windows 7 come its launch in October, you now know exactly how much cash you’ll have to save up. Yep, the good folks over at Trusted Reviews have managed to wheedle the official Windows 7 pricing details out of Microsoft.

The full version will cost you £149.99, £219.99 and £229.99 for the Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate versions respectively. Alternatively, you can upgrade from a previous edition of Windows for £79.99, £189.99 and £199.99 respectively.

Microsoft had already revealed pre-order pricing for its upcoming OS, so those willing to lay their money down early can snag Windows 7 Home Premium for just £49.99, or Professional for £99.99.

Anticipation is really building for Windows 7 now, with the official mouse and keyboard announced yesterday - and there’s also talk that the OS will force netbook makers into making some drastic hardware improvements in the near future.

iPhone OS 3.1 Secrets and Info

I have a little information on the upgrade to iPhone OS 3.0. It is obviously called 3.1.
I have heard from some reliable sources that performance is very good unlike its predecessor. On the hit game Tap Tap Revenge it has been said that it doesn't crash as much and doesn't drop as many taps. That means good news for Tap users. Also there is no official release date yet on when this comes out but I am sure it will be free to download and install from iTunes. You will need to have iPhone OS 3.0 installed though.
Also there are some leaked information about the new rumoured Apple tablet which may come out in a few months. Gizmodo reports that the new tablet will be available in 4 months. When reserchers went through some of the coding of the new iDevice it revealed some interesting news.

It was only hinted before in a text string, but the new iPhone OS 3.1 updates USB Device Configuration XML property list clearly shows not one, but two new unidentified Apple products:
The first model—identified as iProd0,1—has a standardMuxPTP description
. Since no other models start with a zero as a first identifier, we can only guess this is a prototype. The second model is the iProd1,1, which indicates a first generation product.
It has the same description as the iPhone: StandardMuxPTPEthernet. This probably means that, like the Jesusphone, it supports high speed network capabilities.
Could this be the tablet that may be coming in September? The strings don't say much else, so we don't know what they may be. However, it is enough to give our tablet probability meter a 5% boost.
Just more hints that Apple will be releasing a new device in the near future.
